Wooden Lazy Susan - Natural (Natural) (20"-24"diam x 3"h)

Lazy Susan
This is very nice, great size, matches description exactly! Service was excellent! The markings on the lazy Susan make it unique & fun to show to others. Would definitely recommend to others!

Natural
I was mistaken that this lazy susan was going to come stained because of the picture. It did arrive Natural. I love it but I should've paid more attention to the description. Would've paid the extra $$ to have it come already stained.
Functions perfectly. Good size for a round table.

nice
I ordered this because I have a very similar one and my friend fell in love with it. I decided to purchase this one for her. It came on a timely matter and it was well packaged. The only option I had was the 'natural' color and since that part of the picture is so small I could not be100% sure what it would look like once I received it. It is very well made. I wasn't too crazy about the natural color but that is just personal taste. Mine is also natural in color but has a little more 'character' to it. One thing that I did love about this lazy susan was that the bottom is stained with wine and has a wonderful scent!

Rev-A-Shelf RL Series - Rev-A-Lock Security System

great product
the first one was the hardest to install. After that was a piece of cake. I like the latch that you flip that locks them open. A bonus since my Grandkids are only here every couple weeks. These are the only brand I found with the stay open switch.
my only complaint is the magnet isn't very strong. We solved that by going to a hardware store and buying a better magnet and throwing some duct tape around it so we would not scratch the surface.
therefore 4 stars was the best they get.

A must for child safety
If you have young children and don't want unsightly child locks. This device is a must. Installs inside of cabinet, is strong dependable and works.. Had it in my last home and would not think of not doing again. So we did!

Questionable. You have to find a way to cut the wooden ends, if your cupboard is too small and the ends need to be cut down. Product seems quality and not chintzy. They do NOT have good instructions included.

Rev-A-Shelf 32in Kidney Shape Chrome Susan 2 Shelf Set

excellent performance and value
Mine's been installed for just about a year now, and I love it. Despite being loaded with lots of heavy stuff, it moves freely and does not sag. I love the clean look of the wire, as opposed to a solid surface. The price on Amazon was about half of what it sells for elsewhere.

Better than plastic
Plusses: won't crack like the plastic models; easy to install; looks very nice and modern

Minuses: tall thin items will not stand well due to the gaps between the coils; mechanics are not heavy duty.

Riedel Vinum Zinfandel/Riesling/Chianti Glasses, Set of 2

Champagne Also
These fragile wine glasses are the finest in the world at anywhere near this price point. You must be extremely careful when cleaning these glasses; as some have noted, the stems are thin and so is the bowl, so don't try sticking your big mitts inside to dry them.
This glass is also the best glass for champagne/sparkling wine. In France, the winemakers in the Champagne region themselves rarely use the "flute" shape so common in America. As with all wines, champagne needs space for the aromas to be released, and the typical "flute" is too narrow to (gently) swirl the wine. Yes, you should swirl your champagne! It will not make the bubbles dissipate, unless you go overboard and try to emulate a tornado! These glasses are the perfect size, and enhance the bouquet much better than ANY "flute" (hence the use in the winemakers cellars, where the ability to evaluate potential flaws in the wine's aroma is paramount).

This is the perfect utilitarian Riedel Glass - recommended by Sommeliers
This size was recommended to me as part of a Wine Immersion class. It is perfect for wine tastings as you want to use a consist size glass for this purpose... A Great Choice if you want to select only one glass size. GrapeStone Concepts.

Not as nice as other riedel products received
These are nice, but they look like "seconds", not as nice as the other riedel glasses we have purchased over the years, and not quite the same size as other riedel chiani glasses...they work fine when we just use the two of them, but when we have more out you can see the difference.

Pfaltzgraff Winterberry 2-Piece Chip-and-Dip Server

Great Holiday Gift
I purchased this for my mother for Christmas. She uses it for everything! The smaller dish is separate from the platter, and both are easy to wash. She microwaves hot dips in this, and is pleased with the high sides of the platter, which holds copious amounts of chips, veggies, breads, and anything else you care to toss in. She has even used it to serve pasta. In short, this is versatile, sturdy, and beautiful.

chip and dip and more
This is two separate pieces and both are very practical. The bowl is large and holds lots. The plate has high sides to hold lots of chips, fruit, or whatever you need it for. Very elegant and practical for lots of uses.

Wonderful Holiday Season Pattern
I love the Winterberry pattern by Pfaltzgraff and am collecting it as much as possible. This is perfect for all sorts of appetizer combinations that require the dip or spread or sauce be served separately. It is a very large serving piece that is great for parties.

Brawny Pick-A-Size Paper Towels, 2-Ply, White , 3 rolls

BRAWNY IS NOT BOUNTY & NOT VIVA
This is not bad stuff, not at all, but it is not terrific either. "Bounty" is stronger and more absorbent and "Viva" is softer. So for the same price, "Brawny" just wouldn't be my first choice under any circumstances. The Pick-A-Size feature is very useful but is now available in most brands.

For the price, unless you have a double coupon and it is on sale, you would be better off from a value standpoint with a typical store brand product. The big knock against "Brawny" and most store brands are the same, they are a little rough and they aren't the over-achievers that both "Viva" and "Bounty" are for virtually all tasks. Having said that, this product is certainly ample for most jobs, but there are better products in the same price range and its texture is too rough for comfortable personal use.

[I am not affiliated with any product or company]

LOVE these paper towels!!!
What's not to love? The paper towels are thick & absorbent, the pick-a-size option is perfect to cut down on waste & the prints never bleed onto other surfaces when cleaning like the Scott paper towels do. My favorite!!!

Marcal 100% Premium Recycled Roll Towels, 9 x 11 Inches, 60 Sheets/Roll, 15/Carton (6709)

5 Reasons to Buy Marcal Paper Towels
These are the best recycled paper towels I've used. Let's be honest -- are they as absorbent as the forest-destroying paper towels I used to use? No. Are they absorbent enough? Yes. These are fine paper towels and we'll continue to buy and recommend them. The same goes for the Marcal TP.Marcal Small Steps 100% Premium Recycled 2-Ply Embossed Toilet Tissue, 48 Rolls/Carton (6079)

Here are my five reasons I first bought the paper towels, will continue to buy them, and recommend them:

1) They're recycled. They're not as plush and not quite as absorbent as non-recycled towels, but you're not killing trees & adding harm to the environment when you buy these. I'll gladly forsake a little plushness & absorbency for those reasons.
2) Marcal products are made in the U.S.A.
3) Marcal is a union shop.
4) Marcal is animal friendly -- no animal testing.
and
5) Marcal isn't...

2 Reasons Only
There are two reasons why I buy this product: 1. Made in USA 2. 100% recycled. Do you need any other reasons? Made in USA should be reason enough.

I love Marcal
These towels are quite strong for towels made with 100% recycled content. I don't use paper towels much though - I prefer to use dishcloths to wipe things up. But I love that I'm not part of the deforestation that is happening around the world.

Rev-A-Shelf ST50-21W-52 Universal Spice Tray - Polymer-White

Good Idea
If you have an extra drawer in your kitchen, then, this in-drawer spice rack is a good idea, a space saver, and a perfect way to organize many jars of spices. The large molded plastic sheet is large enough to use in two drawers-the sheet can be cut to fit. You will need a dremmel tool or some such tool to get a smooth cut as the plastic is very thick.

Buyer beware
I was totally shocked when my package arrived in the mail. It was a box that was at least 4 feet tall. Imagine my surprise when what I found in the box was long sheets that needed to be cut to size. This is not what was represented on the Amazon web site. I returned the product, but had to pay S&H. OVIS, the company that sent me this product told me that they do not refund S&H when they shipped what was ordered. Too bad they don't make it clear that the product comes in sheets that have to be cut down to fit your drawers.

good quality
the 51" spice rack is good quality and durable. It works well in my spice drawer. We didn't know that it comes in a very large box as one large piece. So we had a 51" piece of plastic sitting in our garage until we could find the right tool to cut it and sand it. But it's perfect now and we still have some left over for another drawer. Just beware that this is not an expandable spice rack and you WILL have to cut it yourself, no tools included.

Villaware V-5000NS Prima Pizzelle Baker

Wonderful!
When my Pizzelle Chef Model 300 died right before my Holiday ritual of making my famous pizzelles, I could have just cried. The company that makes the Pizzelle Chef went out of business 5 years ago. So it was off to find another Pizzelle maker to live up to the Pizzelle Chef. Well many I did try- then low and behold, I bought this model. Oh how I love it! Not only did it make them just as thin as I like, but also this model is non-stick, so no wasting of the first few pizzelles to sticking. The real test was having my Italian mother use it. She is now a believer of another iron that is just as good as a pizzelle chef. My highest rating of 5 stars!

Rev-A-Shelf RT 18-3F 21-3/4" x 22" Full Depth Tray Set, White

Good Idea
I had two drawers in my kitchen devoted to knives, forks, etc.-this tray set allowed me to consolidate everything into one drawer. This freed up a drawer for their in drawer spice rack, which in turn gave me an organized way to store spices, and to save valuable counter space. The only drawback is that the top tray only uncovers the bottom tray about 50% causing a somewhat limited access.

Solution-store infrequently used utensils in the bottom drawer and everyday items in the top. The top drawer can be lifted out if necessary.

They are very cute, no doubt about that. Quality is also impecable. The handles are of a good size but the shakers are too little. I like them better on the table... then they are of a good size.

Cute but not functional
These are well made but a little too small to use for cooking so I am using them on the table with meals.
My husband finds the finger holes too small to use.

Sassy Shakers

I bought this to help clear up some of the clutter on our counters. It is very well built and you can see through it so you can find what you are looking for. I couldn't take advantage of the adjustable feature as my doors close right up against the face of the shelves. I just mounted each section individually directly to the door to allow for the most possible clearance when closed. Kitchenaid Replacement White Cover for Food Processors and Blenders

Keep it handy, keep it clean
I knew that using this marvelous new KitchenAid blender meant keeping it on the counter and that meant a need to keep it clean and with all the attachments handy. This is the perfect solution which didn't require breaking out the sewing machine and measuring tape. Well worth the money.

It is not what I was expecting
It does what it is supposed to but in the photo it looks firmer than it is. It kinda sags aroung the blender instead of standing up nicely and I haven't even had to wash it yet. Practical but not really pretty.

Very nice
I never in a million years thought I would ever want a cover for my kitchen gadgets. However I recently moved into a very small apartment with a very small kitchen with little storage, I didn't want to get rid of my food processor but was afraid it would get dusty/ the film that kitchen decorations sometimes get with limited use. So I found this. It fits great with plenty of room to cover the kitchen aid processor and attachments both in the pocket and in the processor bowl with the top laying on rather then attached. My one suggestion to the manufacturer is that the pocket on the side either has Velcro and made larger or a flap to close it so the parts I put in the pocket would also stay clean. Looks great, not cheap. If the pocket on the side closed it would be a 5 star.

Product information is misleading
The product information states: Kimberly Clark 03405 Kleenex Premiere Perforated Kitchen Roll Towel, 11" Length x 10-25/64" Width, White (Case of 1600) . The product itself is great but I woudn't have paid $62 for 20 rolls of paper towels. It states "case of 1600" and doesn't specify they meant how many sheets total for this order. Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Pro S 3-Piece Starter Set with Bonus Sharpening Steel

Great knives for a great price!
After being disappointed with an array of cutlery over the years I finally found a set of knives that I enjoy using and even looking at. These are beautifully crafted knives that fit well in any kitchen. As for utility I have found the Chef's knife to be very well balanced and hefty enough to glide through about anything with ease. The 6" utility knife is very useful and can be used for an array of kitchen duties. It is especially handy for trimming fat and meats (ribs, briskets, etc). The 4" parer is great as a paring knife and can easily be used for trim work also. These three knives cover the majority of all kitchen work the average person is likely to encounter. The 9" sharpening steel is a necessity and I would not go without it. I would certainly add a block for storage to protect the blades. These knives are very, very sharp. Guard those fingers or you could lose them!

The only thing I can complain about is Henckel's overall lineup of knives. I think they...

High quality knives, just the sizes you need
Don't get fooled into thinking you need a 12 piece knife set - you won't use 80% of the pieces on a regular basis. Far better to buy quality and get the three most commonly used knives instead. This has been a great set, holds its edge well. All it needs is a weekly tune-up on the included honing steel. The only other knife you need for a complete collection is a serrated blade for bread and bagels.

Fine cutting tools
These are simply the best knives I've ever owned. You can get better but unless you're a sushi chef you won't need it:

PROS: They're super sharp and cut through just about anything with no problem; the weight is good and they're balanced very well; feel like they'll last forever; the handles are triple riveted and have no gaps.

CONS: The smallest knife is too small to use for very much; they're not as sharp straight from the factory as they can be; the label on the handle is a sticker that will come off after using it a while; the printing on the blade fades after repeated [hand] washings.

I've worked in restaurants where the chefs had their own personal knives and these are just like those. I highly doubt I'll ever buy another chefs knife again, and I can't believe I wasted so much time before trying to use lousy knives.

Don't buy a huge set that has 15 mediocre knives in it. You can only use one at a time and you don't need a boning...

Victorinox Universal Attache Case

The best case I've come across so far
I've used this Victorinox case for about five years now in a few different pro kitchens. It's not perfect; the plastic is a little soft and prone to staining. The tray has clips for ten knives and lifts out to reveal storage space underneath. The knives are held very securely. One minor drawback is that they do scratch the blades a little bit but I don't really care- they're work knives, not block queens. I can fit a 300mm sujihiki in the top couple slots but that's about the longest blade it will accommodate. In the bottom I keep a first aid kit, my glass Hand American honing rod, an 8" ceramic rod a cut glove and some tools (block knife, measuring spoons, etc). There's still room left over for a couple knives if I'm taking some home to sharpen.

I hate using sayas or blade guards and this case obviates the need to mess with them. I'd be willing to pay a premium for an aluminum version essentially the same but maybe an inch or so larger. Or a plastic case as nice as...

Plenty of knife and tool storage.....BUT!!!
This case is as advertised with plenty of space for knife storage, and the accessory compartments underneath the knife tray have plenty of storage space. My criticisms come in the form of the rigidity of the plastic used for the outer case itself. It seems very flexible and I am concerned about its' durability. Second, when the knife tray is full and the case is closed, the two exterior latches that are supposed to hold the case closed, do not maintain the lid closed and secured. They pop open after a few minutes leaving the lid ajar. It seems that the foam used on the inside of the lid to keep the knives from moving during transport, exert upward pressure on the lid, thus popping the latches open. I'm looking for small padlocks that will fit into the holes provided in the latches to keep the lid closed, but I'm thinking that will turn out to be a real hassle in the long run. If I find a better solution I'll update my review, but for now three stars is all I can give this case.

Great case to protect and store knives
This case is very good compared to an average storage bag or roll case, which i also have. This case does the knives justice as far as blades go. You just slide the knives into place and it holds it there, it is very solid in construction and plenty of storage space to hold many other items. I was able to fit the following: Knife tray: Chef's, boning, paring, bread, Carving, 2 Slicers. Accessories: Straight Spatula, double melon baller, Slotted Fish turner, Lg rule, steel (fit in knife slot), tongs, Bone pliers, thermometer, peeler, mixing spoon, carving fork and small whisk. Basically all my Art institute knife set fit in perfectly, w/o having to deal with the knife covers/blade protectors. If you are a culinary student or just a foodie this is the case for you.

Boraam Boraam Tile Top Dining Tables

Completely satisfied
The table fits all my needs. Just the right size for the space under my kitchen window. Pine and white tile are a nice contrast.
Easy to put together and is sturdy. Pine chairs I already owned fit nicely under the table creating more room when not in use. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend this table.

simple, sturdy, functional, pretty
Easy to assemble, even for a non-practical person, this table is solid, pretty, and surprisingly hard to find in this size. Since we have a small room where the table was needed it was tricky finding something new or used that would do the trick. We were looking for this kind of country table and are very pleased to have this, together with the matching spindle chairs we acquired on a sister site, we found what was needed and are very happy with them.

Table
Bought for a present for my daughter and she loves it. She uses it for her craft table and is so busy with crafts that she rarely get to actually eat a dinner on it. Too Funny!

Le Creuset Stoneware 8-Ounce Petite Tomato Casserole, Red

Read carefullly before buying -- items in mirror are closer (and smaller) than they appear
All the little Le Creuset fruit and veggie "petites" are smaller than their overstated capacity. If it says it holds 12 ounces, then just assume 10. If it says 10 ounces, assume a scant 8. And if it only gives you the 5" x 5" dimensions, just assume 7 ounces at the ouside.

That said, the little tomato, the pumpkin, the garlic and the peppers are all just wonderful little (verrrry little) individual bakers/servers. Great for tiny mac & cheese, baked pasta dishes, individula tamale pies or baked cheese grits.... And the fruit petites make great cobblers, mini-cakes, and fruit soup dishes.

Just know that all the petites with the exception of the older and hard to find garlic, and the new little dutch oven shaped petites are actually made of Le Creuset stoneware and NOT enameled cast iron.

With that info in hand, you shouldn't be disappointed -- and you can really enjoy the cleverness of the designs and color/variety they bring to the table.

Le Creuset Petite Stoneware Tomato
This item is a very cute stoneware casserole dish from the garden collection produced by Le Creuset. I purchased this item as a display piece for my kitchen, not as actual cookware. The stoneware is dishwasher safe.

I guess if I wanted to cook with the petite casseroles, I would want several of the same type of dish (i.e. 4 petite tomatoes instead of a petite tomato, garlic, pepper and eggplant casseroles). This would ensure similar cooking times due to the different shapes and volume(s) of the various fruit & vegetable dishes.

Victorinox Honing Steel 14-Inch Round Fine Cut, Dark Wood Handle

High Quality Sharpening Steel
This sharpening steel is a high quality item that is very well made.

It is very professional looking and performs extremely well.

We are very glad to have purchased it.

Outstanding
Well made and beautifully crafted.

This is a heavyweight so unless you have good arm and wrist strength you may not want to go this route and try the 10 or 12 inch fine instead. Teach yourself to hold this one in a relaxed but firm horizontal grip with your elbow propped against your body and nearly anyone without a pesky case of arthritis can use it.

I prefer this length since it covers all my knifes in one steel. Four to six light strokes with any knife on this steel tunes the edge perfectly. If more strokes do not bring the edge true, the knife is either not properly sharp to begin with or the edge is soft and particularly susceptible to bending over.

Whatever length you get I recommend this "fine" Victornox/Forshner steel version for truing knife edges.

Some day I would like to try the "helical" cut version, but I can't see why this one should not last the rest of my life if it is properly maintained and not allowed to bang into other...

Lobster splitter

Are there any more five pounders?
I bought this rosewood handled heavy knife thirty-five years ago when I routinely prepared five to eight pound lobsters.

This is a formidable knife. Woody Allen would have had less trouble if he were able to wield it.

I never use it now. It was my knife to halve even a three pound lobster with ease.

The Swiss steel is predictably soft, but the blade bevel has a high attitude, meaning that your crushing force cones to bear along the length of the blade. So cutting salmon or other fish is out of the question.

Le Creuset Stoneware Large 2-3/4-Quart Utensil Crock, Kiwi

Larger is the better
I already had smaller Utensil Crock of Le Creuset, but this larger one is better! If you are thinking whether you should get smaller or larger, you should get larger one, so you don't have to buy two of them like me after all!

what's not to love?
As we started to accumulate kitchen utensils and gadgets, we ran out of drawer space (I'm sure many of you can relate). Well, this crock can easily free up an entire drawer all by itself. It measures about 6 inches high, just under 7 inches across the top, and 1/4 inch thick. It's very sturdy... after a half year of clanging utensils and gadgets in and out of it, not one ding or chip. Just FYI, "Le Creuset" is stamped into the bottom, and appears in raised letters on the side of the crock. NOTE: we bought the kiwi green to match our kiwi green Le Creuset dutch oven... the kiwi green of the crock is a bit darker/more muted than the kiwi green of the dutch oven, but still a great match.

Just perfect holds all my utensils. Love the green color, heavy so it does not tip over. Keeps everything handy near my stove. Highly recommend.

Acrylic Plastic Products Cutting Board with Lip - 20 x 20 Inches

Cutting Board
We wanted a protective cover on our countertop that would also serve as a cutting board for preparing salads & cutting up other foods. This item serves the purpose quite well, and it should last for many years. Both boards have a bow in the center, and don't lay flat on the counter, but we are hoping this will remedy itself in time. Thanks

Acrylic Cutting Board
This works wonderfully. We just leave it on the counter and I am always ready to cut up veggies without having to go and get out a cutting board. In fact I just ordered a second one so that my husband does not have an excuse to not help with the cooking prep work. :-)

Love these!
We had two of these in our kitchen already and just received our third. These are great. They help protect our countertops and provide a surface to set things on (coffee maker, toaster, etc). I use a section of one as a cutting board by the sink. Easy to sanitize and keep clean.

Swiss Army Brands 40192 Cheese Knife, 12-Inch

Have the 14 3/4" version of this knife.
I have owned the 14 3/4" version of this knife for longer than I can remember. 25+ years. This is the only knife I own that isn't a Dexter-Russell knife. I'm prompted to write this because 8 months ago I was forced to put my stuff into storage and yesterday I got brought some of it home again. I was thrilled to see this knife. We've been together a very long time. I can't say anything negative about this knife. Not one thing. It's sharp, it takes an edge easily, it's strong. It's indespensible for cutting cheese prints, watermelons, pineapple, pizza, lobsters, anything that's big and unweilding in the kitchen. As a Chef, I've carried this knife to many jobs and many venues, used it to cut frozen food, even driven it through some frozen products over time with a hammer. It's a really tough knife. It has really stood the test of time. It's my friend! lol! The one thing that really amazes me about this knife is in all the places I've used it nobody has ever stolen it but everyone I've...

Friedr Dick Premier 10 Inch Chef's Knife

Great Knife
I have been using my F. Dick chef's knife for years now, and it's still great, which is really saying something as I am not easy on knives. I ditto what the above reviewer said about the superior balance. The 10" is actually better balanced than the 8", and so it feels inexplicably lighter even though it is made from the same material. The longer blade allows for more efficient dicing and mincing, which is nice if you are preparing large dinners. Also, on a more humorous note, I love the looks I get when I pull out a knife that look a little on the short sword side to people not used to seeing chef's knives this long.

Recommended -Wonderful heft and balance
I have Wusthof and Shun knives, Shuns retain their edge a little longer. But they are more difficult to re-edge. This knife is similar to my Wusthof, very sharp and is much easier to put the edge right. It is well balanced so it doesn't feel heavy.

Japanese Cast iron Tea Pot Cup Set Green Bamboo

MORE THAN I EXPECTED!!!
I am a rookie in the tea world. But there's nothing wrong with learning how to make and drink tea in one of many traditional ways. The tetsubin is small (descriptive measurements are accurate) but its more than enough for my girlfriend and I.It has very good craftmanship and solidity. If you follow the instructions on how to use it and clean it, it will last you a lifetime.DO NOT place over stovetop. You are supposed to heat the water separately. This makes the process longer but it forces you to take your time, relax, and drink a well made cup of tea. It's not an hour long process either.Be careful with the cups, do not fill to the top when drinking the tea, they will get very hot and burn you.Hope this was helpful.DRINK TEA AND STAY HEALTHY!

Beautiful
I bought this for my mother. When I showed it to her and her friend, the first thing the friend said was, "Oh my god, that is beautiful". It is a very sturdy/heavy teapot and the cups are strong too. Restaurant-quality. I'm a guy and don't often think such things as beautiful, but it is a very nice teapot. Enough capacity for 4-5 small cupfulls.

Beautiful, well-made, just be careful
The design is beautiful!

The set is a lot smaller than we expected, but it's a nice change. Perfect for a mid- afternoon spot.

The cast iron is extremely durable and easy to maintain, however it heats with the tea, so be careful when using the cups.

Chicago Cutlery Walnut Tradition 14-Piece Block Set

Once great Cutlery gone down hill
I am in the food industry and have some great "old" Chicago knives. Some of my knives are over 50 years old and still going strong. They have great blades that sharpen easily and wear well.
I bought a vacation home recently and one of the first thing I bought for the kitchen was this set of Chicago Cutlery. I was angry when I saw what Chicago Cutlery has done to the quality of their product. Poor grade thin steel blades that feel like toy knives with handles of cheap poor quality wood.
Stay away from these knives...do not reward them for destroying a great American Tradition.
They should be forced to give up the Name......

Terrific Value, Handles Need Help
I got this set for my mom for Christmas. She is a "cook", no t a chef, so the knives are fine for her purposes. Better than what she had. The biggest disappointment was the wood handles, I don't know if they were not treated or what, but right out of the box they were dry and rough. They felt like they would give you splinters. My mom put some oil on them and it helped, but had I seen the handles as they were before purchase, I probably would not have purchased them. Or at least made the handles more presentable myself. But - I paid $25 for them and can't really complain too much.

Nice Starter Set
This set was a gift, a nice gift and terrific starter set for beginners in the kitchen or for persons who do an ocassional prep. Easy to use, nice craftsmanship, and very reasonable price for a quality name. A bread knife would have been terrific addition to the block set but all in all, feel free to get this set for that young couple or child who is moving into their own place for the first time. I am happy with it, besides it was a gift.

Chef's Design 13 3/4-Inch French Roaster with Rack

what a bargain
This small roaster, perfect chicken size, is beautifully made, heavy weight and just a great bargain. the heavy weight means you can use it at highest heat on the stovetop to make graveis when the roasting is complete, without worries of buckling the pan, like my Calphalon recently did.

Great Roaster
Needed a large roaster for a large holiday bird. Very happy with this one. Very heavy, beautifully made, very good rack. Easily held a 25lb+ turkey or a whole beef loin strip. Nonstick coating was not an issue in making gravy.
We don't use this often, but when we need a large roaster this one gets it done and looks great doing it.

Super sturdy
Best roasting pan I've encountered in years. Very sturdy, beautiful design. Heavyweight makes it perfect to take baking fond and sauce it on top burner.

iSi 2470 Thermo Whip Whip Cream Whipper

A convenient way to make really fresh whipped cream and espumas
I read and followed the instructions included with the thermal whipper. What a pleasant surprise when I made my first batch of fresh whipped cream. And I can pronounce all the ingredients! Let's see, heavy whipping cream, sugar, vanilla and NO2 (propellant). One of the keys to whipped cream is that there has to be enough fat in the dairy (so half-and-half doesn't work). My whipped cream lasted the full 10 days. But always make sure to shake the dispenser to move the whipped contents down towards the dispensing head. I still had a lot of whipped cream still stuck at the bottom of the bottle after I thought there was no more cream.

The whipped cream dispenser comes with three dispensing tips, two rubber washers (white for cold, red for hot), a NO2 cartridge cap, cap for covering the NO2 valve for normal use, a cleaning brush if you need to clean out the dispensing head's nozzle or dispensing tips, instruction and recipe booklet. Changing the white rubber washer is...

not great for gelatin preparations.
If you're looking to use your thermo whip for gelatin preparations be aware that it must cool 15 hours in the fridge before it is ready to dispense. Had I known I would have bought the non- thermo version.

Friedr Dick Premier Chefs Knife 8 Inch Blade

Forget the big brands
This gorgeous knife opened my eyes to fine cutlery. It feels like an extension of your body, it is so well balanced and so effective. I've had mine for about a year and cannot say enough good things about it. From butchering to fine chopping, this knife is as strong or as delicate as you need it to be. And phenomenally sharp.

Mr Coffee 12 Cup Coffeemaker

Mr Coffee Coffeemaker
I have enjoyed my Mr Coffeemaker. It brews fast and quietly and the coffee stays hot which is a real plus.

Works well
If you want a basic coffee maker that works well with no frills, this is it. This is our 2nd one. We broke the first carafe and decided to replace the unit.

No Nonsense Brewer
Manufacturers are cramming electronic and superfluous bells and whistles down our collective throats as if they've lost their good sense. Wife and I searched far for a simple and durable coffee maker quite a while until we found this one. German Cockroaches in the southern states are notorious for corroding and shorting printed circuit boards in appliances by pooping all over the boards. No board means less problem. I glued a piece of head scarf fabric on the bottom to cover the vent holes where roach babies could enter. The brewer makes good coffee and keeps it hot without overcooking for two hours.

Cork Pops Legacy Wine Bottle Opener, Black

Damn good fun, but not perfect
When this thing works, it can open a bottle in a flash - under three seconds easily. The foil cutters are a real boon too, giving a tidy finish.

Unfortunately it will not always work. Very tight-fitting corks, especially synthetics, will sometimes fail to be shifted by the pressure, and a regular corkscrew is needed. More irritating is a problem with long corks, where it is hard to get the nozzle right through the cork. If they had added 2-3mm length to the needle, this problem would not exist, which is very frustrating.

In summary, worth the money, but make sure you have a backup just in case.

A good upgrade
I bought the less expensive corkpops (the one that looks like an ice-pick with a CO2 on top) and I was happy with it. I bought this upgraded one when the cannister on the first one got empty. The blades to cut the foil don't work as well as you would hope, but with REALLY good pressure they get the job done. HOWEVER, the really kewl thing about this is cork removal. As you might imagine after stabbing the cork there may be some resistance pulling it off of the needle. With the upgraded version you just twist the device and down it slides to the edge. That makes it work it for me. If that's not important to you or your don't want to spend the cash for the fancier cork pops spend the money on the simple one. It works, has WOW factor and makes you want to open bottles of wine. Just don't put it in carryon luggage!!!!!

For people having trouble...
This is a great product. I use it all the time. Occasionally I have to fall back to a manual opener, but that's maybe one bottle out of twenty, if that.

Some here complain about the cartridges not lasting. Simply push the button for only a quarter-second, and let the pressure do the work. I suspect some may be holding the button down until the cork comes free, which is far more than you need.

Also, if you turn the bottle upside down for a couple seconds before inserting the needle, you'll leave some wine between the base of the cork and the bottle. This will seal the pressure better, and it will get forced up between cork and bottle by the pressure, acting as a lubricant. (More needed on white wine, which you might have set upright in the fridge to chill, for example.) Once I discovered this trick, almost every bottle opened easily.

Once armed with these tricks, you'll get a lot of good use out of this tool.

Mosa Whipped Cream Dispenser (1/2 Liter all metal w. plastic head)

Works great for us!
I had trouble deciding between the "Whip-It!" brand and the "iSi" brand cream charger for our home use. I went with the Whip-It! mostly because it cost half as much. I like to buy quality items that last a long time, not disposable junk so I was inclined to buy the best - which would appear to be the iSi brand. So far, I'm glad we went with the less expensive option. It's well-built and fits perfectly in the door of our fridge.

We've been using our 1/2L dispenser with the Whip-It brand cartridges and have no complaints. This size is perfect for our family, dump-in a pint of whipping cream mixed with 1T of powdered sugar and have a tasty treat always ready to go in the fridge.

It's re-usable and you can have more control over what's going in to your body!

Great for easy whipped cream!
We love our Whip-It and use it almost every day. We keep it full of fresh cream, with some sweetener and a touch of vanilla, in the fridge so it's always ready to go. It's great for a quick dessert of berries and whipped cream or to top of a cup of coffee.

Being able to quickly make fresh whipped cream with your own choice of ingredients makes special diets like low-carb ones a lot easier to stick to.

Former Barista
Got this for my husband with an espresso machine one year for Christmas. Love it, just like we used at Starbucks when we both worked there. Home made whip cream tastes great, and this helps it to last much longer (2 weeks). FYI Starbucks only keeps theirs a day, but the instructions with this say you can keep it in the fridge for 2 weeks. We have and it stays fresh, just shake it a little if its been sitting there several days. It comes with two tips, they make the whip look amazing.

What it just like Starbucks? Go to a store and ask if you can purchase a bottle of Vanilla (under ten dollars), if they have extras they will let you. See if they will give you a pump with it (keep this for future bottles as well). Do 8 pumps and 2 cups heavy whipping cream, charge it with the bottle upside down and shake about 20-30 times. You can't use vanilla extract that has alcohol because it will curdle the milk.
