Le Creuset Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 4-Quart Covered Saucepan

Great Cookware
I own some other top of the line cookware and this is as good as it gets. Great product would recommend it.

Le Creuset 3-Ply Stainless-Steel 3-Quart covered Saucepan

love it
I bought several pieces of the Le Creuset stainless, this being one of them. I absolutely love them all. The pouring lip keeps the pots from being messy when pouring. The handles are a nice length, more comfortable than all-clad, and balance the pots when you carry them, so they don't seem as heavy. I especially love that I can set the lid on the helper handle when stirring instead of having to find some place else to put it. It did take a little while to get used to a different way of cooking (no more than medium temp.) I would not have believed that a better pot would make a difference in cooking but it does. I intend on picking up a couple more pieces and would highly recommend them to anyone. Consistant high quality in every piece, even if they are made in china.

The Best Clad Cookware
After doing rigorous comparison shopping, including looking at commercial clad cookware like Vollrath Tribute, I consider the new Le Creuset cookware to be the best available, hands down. The lids are thicker, the pot bodies are heavier, and the handles are more comfortable. These pots and pans put brands like All Clad to shame.

Yes, they are made in China. Only All Clad, which now makes their handles and lids off-shore too (they don't tell you where) and Vollrath are made in the US. All Clad is no better than Cuisinart (which would be my second choice, and a lot cheaper) or Calphalon, now discontinued, in the clad cookware category. And All Clad is ridiculously expensive, which in my opinion is completely unjustifiable, not to mention that their handles are as uncomfortable as they come.

If I didn't care about looks I would have gone with Vollrath, but the Le Creuset are very attractive (for pots and pans). The new handles are thick and easy to grasp. The...

Well made but a bit heavy
This saucepan is made beautifully and cooks like a dream. The only problem I have is that it is relatively heavy and the handle is narrow, so when the pot is full of water and potatoes it is difficult to pick it up with one hand and hold the lid to drain and pour out the water. This was not a problem for me when I used my old anodized aluminum West Bend saucepan.

Shun DMS300 Classic 3-Piece Boxed Cutlery Set

Outstanding
The best knives I've ever owned, bar none. They come with a razor edge and are easy to re-hone with just a few strokes on the Kershaw-Shun steel (well worth purchasing to accompany this set). The damascus pattern and perfectly crafted profile slice through darn near anything (food-like anyway) with ease. I also got a 9" scalloped slicing knife and sharpening steel to round out the set. The weight and balance are perfect. They are designed for right-handed chefs with a d-shaped handle so if you are a leftie they may not be as comfortable or easy to use.

Sharp and Beautiful!
I purchased a set of these for my brother and sister-in-law last year for their wedding and almost kept them for myself. They raved about the quality of the set so I finally purchased my own and can say without a doubt that these are the finest made knives that I have ever owned. One word of warning, these are sharp! I was a little too eager when I was unpacking the knives and cut my hand wide open. Three stitches later, I was prepping my dinner. Great cuts, well balanced, and beautiful to look at.

Great Knives
I have a set for myself had them for 3 years now. They only need to be sharpened once a year and the company will put a factory edge back on it for free, just have to ship them to them. If anyone is looking for a set of knives these are the ones you buy once and never have to buy another set in your life.

Lavender - 1 lb

Precious rose buds for sachets, teas and decor
These rose buds from Catey13 are precious. They have a soft aroma and a pretty look to them. I plan to use them for small sachets in the bags I bought from catey13, and use rose-colored ribbon to adorn the bags. I'm so glad this seller. I bought several things from her and she gave me a refund on the combined shipping costs.

Rosebuds and petals
The dried rosebuds and petals still have their color and smelled lovely. They will look very cute as in my wedding.

Fantastic buy.
1 pound of these is much larger than I expected! I am very happy with the product. The petals and buds came with a good quality ziploc bag for use and reuse. It also came with a great insert on Culinary Rose Petal Recipes and one on brewing tea from dried herbs! This is a high food grade product. And the place where packaged must smell fantastic - the bubble bag and the sealed bags all smelled great! My MAILBOX smelled fantastic and so did the truck when I picked it up!

Le Creuset 3-Ply Stainless-Steel 2-Quart Covered Saucepan

High quality with a great handle!
For years I have been looking for a quality alternative to the over-rated and very expensive All Clad. All Clad has the most uncomfortable handles ever made, even the new improved version. Piazza out of Italy has been one of my favorites, but it has become virtually impossible to buy in the US, if they are even being made anymore. This new line by Le Creuset is a winner, and it has some features that make it much better than All Clad. The handle is nice to hold, no sharp edges or danger of rolling in the hand when the pan is full and heavy. There is also a helper handle, and the handles stay cool to the touch. I love the rolled rim (a favorite feature on my beloved Piazza pans), as it helps prevents drips down the side and makes pouring a lot more exact. There are also measurement markings on the inside of the pan. I wouldn't rely on them exclusively, but it is nice to have for a guesstimate, or for keeping track of a reduction. So far I only have this size and the steamer insert,...

Best Everyday Cookware
My first choice was to Buy America when I decided I needed to replace my 40 year old Farberware. After reading many reviews I bought some All Clad. After using it for several months I concluded that it is too heavy and it is impossible to get a good grip. I had avoided LeCreuset stainless because it was made in China but decided to give the small saucepan a try. No Contest! I bought more LeCreuset. The LeCreuset is better balanced, comfortable handles and on some an auxiliary handle and the lip around the edge serves to hold the covers. However the biggest difference is that when I use the AllClad I always have to use the recommended Bar Keepers Friend to remove the water marks. I use the LeCreuset every morning to boil water and I NEVER have to clean up water marks. The finish on the LeCreuset just seems better. I love it.

Zevro Single 17.5-Ounce 18/10 Stainless Steel Dispenser Countertop/Wall Mount Holder, SLS100

Just what I had hoped it would be!!
I had been looking for a dispenser for a while for my mounting cereal shelf in the kitchen. I have a mostly stainless steel kitchen and I didn't want the piling cereal boxes to be exposd anymore, I was really looking for a more uniformed look. I researched my options and the price I found on Amazon was really the best. I knew I wanted multiple dispensers, but oddly enough it was more cost effective to buy multiple single dispensers than a couple of the double ones that are available. No matter, I purchased 5 and they are lined up beautifully on my stainless steel shelving unit. They are easily put together, cleaned and used my my five children. They look cohesive and pretty when they are filled with colorful cereal. Nonethess, the children ranging in ages from 2-11 find them accessible and use them often. They come with a small plastic covering that is right at the opening that helps in keeping the cereal fresh. I was worried about the larger cereal coming out, but the turner...

Visually pleasing, extremely functional
I owned this dispenser for close to a year, and love it. The cereal is always fresh and accessible and I do not have to keep the boxes or reach out to grab few nuts for a quick snack. Great design.

Cereal Dispenser
I love this so much I ordered another. Makes my counter look much better and the kids enjoy using them.

Bunn NHB Professional Home Brewer, Black

Great tasting coffee
I'm fond of some of the 'thicker' smokier coffees. Mocha Matari (while difficult to find) is among my favorites. Normal drip pots (including some expensive ones) don't provide the complexity of flavor I enjoy. (I suspect the water is too hot, the brewing cycle is too long, and the coffee is over-extracted.)

One of my daughters is a coffee fanatic. She brought me some Ethopian coffee that she insisted I just had to try. So I ground it up, brewed it with the Bunn, and tasted it. The coffee was great. But my daughter's comments were revealing. "This tastes so good at home, but so much better here. My birthday is coming up -- I know what I want for a gift."

And that's basically what it comes down to. Even supermarket "100% Columbian" coffee tastes pretty good, better than it has any right to taste.

There are a couple of down-sides, though. It keeps the water hot all the time, and that means that the water evaporates over time. Get accustomed to...

Great coffee machine, multipurpose
I've never reviewed an Amazon item before, but will give it a shot because this coffee-maker is so great.

I do a lot of research before buying any home products, including televisions, audio equipment, and even my toaster. I typically drink 2 cups of coffee in the morning, and 1-2 cups in the evening. I was looking for a coffee maker that recreated the coffee-house experience, as most home brewers do not taste as good as a fresh cup from an industrial brewer.

After much thought and reading lots of reviews, I decided to try the Bunn NHB despite complaints of weak flavor, cool coffee, and a higher price than most brewers given the relative paucity of features.

After about 5 months, I love it. My girlfriend loves it. We can't drink coffee from other home brewing machines now. We use Peet's Coffee Major Dickason blend primarily. It is true that you need more grounds for this machine. I use about 2/3 to 1 tablespoon of grounds per cup as labeled on...

Oustanding Coffee Maker
I never take the time to write reviews, but this Coffee Maker deserves it!

I have purchased every high-end coffe maker out there over the past few years, and every one had issues of one kind or another.

This product is fantastic! Simple, with no bells and whistles. Just a great tasting cup of coffee in lightning time.

And it looks like it should last years with no problem.

10 inch Stainless Steamer Set

Very Good 2 Tier Steamer.
This steamer comes with two steamer inserts and is so huge that I could cook an entire meal for 4 people in it. It is really well made and the handles are a good size for lifting it. It comes with a glass lid and I haven't had the heat problem that another reviewer experienced and have been able to lift the lid without a oven glove. Now used it 6 or 7 times since it arrived about a week ago and love it. My only grumble is that I have to wash it by hand as it fills my dishwasher on its own, but thats a small price to pay!

Steamer
My unit came with a little bit of red on the handles. It's adorable and works great and quickly. The only downfall is that the knob on the glass lid became hot enough to have to use a pot holder to remove it. The tray handles did not get too hot. It's well made and sturdy.

good steamer
I purchased the steamer 2 years ago and it still works well, which I was sure it would. I prefer this product over the electronic steamers due to most of the electronic ones are made of plastic and affect the taste of the food, not to mention the toxins. I took one star off due to the price.

Corelle Impressions 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4, Watercolors

Corelle Watercolors
Cute! Cute! Cute! I love the mix and match look this set offers while still coordinating. The only complaint I would come close to having, is that the bowls are very shallow. They are great for salads, but not for soup or cereal. My solution was to buy the Corelle Snack Pack in white. The plates are very functional, light in weight, and take up less space than traditional stoneware. Everyone who has been to my home has complimented me on my new dinnerware.

Forever Corelle
My mother had Corelle dishes about 25 years ago for a family of 9 and never a broken, cracked, or stained dish. Fast forward to my own life and many sets of stoneware...I have happily returned to Corelle. These are lovely dishes. The colors are little more muted than in they appear in the picture but still very attractive. Plus, they take about 1/3 of storage as my former set. I agree with the other reviewer, the bowls are shallow but I like that. The coffee mugs are very nice but these are stoneware. I bought 2 sets and am considering a third...I like them that much!!!

Love Them!
We decided to go with Corelle because they are break and chip resistant. Already tested this twice when 2 bowls fell on our ceramic floor. They didn't break!

Love how the colors in this set are mixed and match, very whimsical and fun, and vibrant!

Pro's: Very thin plates and bowls, love how they load in the dishwasher and don't take up much room in our cupboard. We like the idea of a shallow bowl. This bowl is large so it holds a lot of food!

The only con is the mugs. We don't like them and the design doesn't go the whole way around the mug. But we will either live with them or buy the large Corelle mugs in a solid color.

We are very happy with these plates!

Hamilton Beach Commercial 936 Drink Mixer, Black

Today is a happy day
I found out today that I broke into the ranks of Amazon's Top 1000 Reviewers, jumping from 1,001st place to 936th!

To celebrate this momentous occasion, I am reviewing every "936" item I can find that I also happen coincidentally to own.

The Hamilton Beach Commercial 936 Drink Mixer, Black, (HBC936) represents the ultimate in drink-mixing technology, at least until science brings us the superconducting Higgs field molecular agitator in a convenient, kitchen-appliance sized package. I hear they are working on it, but I wouldn't hold your breath, unless, of course, you are underwater. And don't have gills, obviously.

I used to mix my drinks in a classic Waring blender, but the cleanup afterwards was a chore. The HBC936 cleans up quickly and conveniently: the sturdy metal container removes easily, and the stainless steel spindle and agitator rinse quickly in a container full of water. As I like to make liver and pancreas shakes, I usually detach the...

Benriner Cook Help Spiral Vegatable Slicer

One of the BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENTS I have had in quite a while
I wish I could reverse my rating of this device from one star to 5 but I am not able to- please keep in mind that I no longer want to rate this 1 star when you read this review.

At first, I bought this product and got nothing but frustration from it. Usually my entire family can figure out new methods and ways to use things, even if hardly anyone else can figure it out.

I had given up.

I had gotten nothing but frustration with the Benriner Cook Help, so I wrote a review of it expressing it as such.

After writing the review, I approached the Benriner as someone who never saw it before and I started experimenting.

My problems had been due to miscommunication on how to use this unit. There is not a whole lot out there about the Benriner Cook Help, so I was depending on the few directions out there, and none of them worked.

Here is what I figured out:

Although it is often told that you can make angel hair...

ALEX Denver CO
I primarily eat raw /living foods. When I asked the chef at our Whole Foods supermarket how she gets the zucchini into angel hair pasta and some other attractive cuts to the vegetables, she/the chef recommended the Cook's Help. I was surprised to see the price however I have not regretted the purchase. In the two months I have had this item,it works every time for me and I am not exaggerating. It comes with a little brochure of an instruction booklet, but it is a very smple machine and not hard to figure out. I feel like a little kid with a great toy. When you are finished cutting your vegetables be sure to clean all the little crevices of any food particles to keep the blades clean and sharp. So far I have been using it to cut my vegetables into angel thin hair pasta or into thin sliced spiral ribbons. I never have a problem. I always need to cut my vegetable to size to get between the blades and the gripper, and always have some leftover chunk of vegetable that cannot be sliced,...

Finally a Truly Reliable Spiral Slicer!
The Benriner Cook Help made in Japan. Finally a reliable spiral slicer which offers true versatility and durability made of ABS and Nylon reinforced resin this spiral slicer is here to stay! This is all you'll need to get you're creative juices flowing allowing you to create beautiful salads, elegant garnishes and main courses if you eat raw. The famous Spaghetti type strands that everyone longs for using yellow squash and Zucchini turn into beautiful replicas of their wheat counterpart. Want to experienment with super thin slices of cucumbers, potatoes, carrots, bell pepper and onions go right ahead because you can't go wrong they'll turn out beautifully each and every time. Cleaning is a snap just use soapy water, rinse well, then dry. Handle with care because the blades...

12 inch Stainless Steamer Set

Note quite as pictured, but very nice!
The model I was shipped has a glass lid (shipper checked first to see if I was OK with the substitution). I'm really happy with my selection, especially with the size I purchased. I can fit pie pans or cake pans full of food in the steamer racks, and have plenty of room all around for the steam to circulate and also lots of room to reach in and pull out the food even wearing oven mitts. I can make a whole meal in 20 minutes in this, and only use one burner! Since this isn't one of those new electric steamers, I have more versatility with what can be done with it. I can use the large bottom pot for soups, stews, or even as a chicken fryer! I find I'm using this steamer set several times a week.

Love It!
If you need a steamer for any reason. Get this one and
from this company. They did the service of personally emailing
me to let me know it was in the mail, not just the email that
Amazon sends out. If your new to steaming and I was, general instructions would be nice, but all you do is rotate the two pots half way through
the cooking time and you can pretty much figure it out from there. I haven't used the smaller steamer so can't tell you much there, I always cook fairly large. If I lost this one somehow, I would definitely get another the same size.

No warranty
Used about 5 times in 7 months. Found 3 vertical cracks (at piece joints) that leak steam. Since there is no manufacturer info, I contacted the seller. Seller refused the warranty. Seller replied in her email "You are probably from China and you are probably aware that China is not going to have a warranty on a cooking pan that is plain and simple". Similar item is sold in China at much lower price without warranty. Seller wants to sell at high price in US with low service in China.

Viva Paper Towels

Viva is da bomb!
Viva is the best paper towel I have ever used - and I've used many brands. Whenever I've had guests over that have needed a paper towel, I usually get asked what brand it is, because it's almost like having a roll of cotton handkerchiefs - super absorbent and very thick. These trees did not die in vain! Most spills require only one towel, instead of 10 with other brands. Absolutely the best!

Two reasons that make it a great product.
I have always been a die hard fan of Bounty but this product forced me to reconsider my choice. I like this product for mainly two reasons -

1. The paper is a of very high quality, once wet it just feels like a wipe or a cloth. It surely cleans better than Bounty.

2.The smaller size of the tissue when you tear it from the roll preventing wastage and saving money.

BEST & ONLY PAPER TOWEL A FAMILY NEEDS
THIS VARIATION OF VIVA HAS THE "PICK-A-SIZE" feature which gives it an even bigger edge over any other paper towel.

I have used paper towels for a growing number of applications for a half century, though only in the past ten years did I come to appreciate "Viva Paper Towels". Originally, I bought store brands or promotional products on sale or with coupons as a paper towel was just a quick spill clean-up device. When I had children, I discovered how handy paper towels are at the dinner table for both quick spill clean-ups and as tough little napkins for sticky little hands. That's where the rub was. Most paper towels will clean up spills and even hold together fairly well, but Viva is the only one I have used as a substitute for dinner napkins and facial tissues for all the members of our rather large family. It is very soft, absorbent, durable and strong in all our household applications even after becoming wet or soiled. Visitors often comment on the softness and...

Sharp R-1405 950-Watt 1-2/5-Cubic-Foot Over-the-Range Microwave, Black

Pleased I did not follow advise of other review, I love this
I bought this on Amazon to replace a Sharp microwave, which has served me well for several years. Based on the price, compared to other with similar features, this unit is the least expensive. I was also impressed with the comprehensive directions for installation. I am closer to being Tim (the toolman) Taylor than a professional at home improvements, so I followed the instructions with precision. The results were outstanding. Not only does it look GREAT where my old stove hood used to be, it passed my "popcorn" test, of which, I am particular. No scotching, full bag, satisfying and an extra plus, while I am beaming over my accomplishment, the beep sounds indicating the popcorn was finished, the display read "Enjoy". Am I ever! I have in my "digital locker",courtesy of Amazon, my own .pdf manual. What a great investment in money for the microwave and the time for installation of the unit.

Solidly built, looks great, came with lightbulbs for range light INSTALLED! No cons,...

Good deal...works GREAT!
This microwave was a replacement for a different brand. But for $169 (and I found an online coupon to boot) it was worth every cent spent. Granted, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles my old microwave had, but what do we generally use a microwave for...reheating, defrosting and popcorn...so why spend the extra cash?

Installation was not quite so easy as others indicated as I was replacing a different brand, which meant drilling new holes in cabinet, and installing a new bracket behind the microwave, but still, for the money saved, well worth the effort. It does not come with a charcoal filter so be prepared to buy one separately if you are going ventless (do it at the time of purchase if you can find it on Amazon so you can save the shipping cost).

The rating I gave is due to the lack of features...basic microwave with few "extras", but the price made it 4 stars!

Excellent value!
Much better price then most of the name brand models (approx. $300). Probably better quality the the cheap generic ones (goldstar, ropper etc.)Mine arrived not working, so i called technical support to see if there was a fuse or something that i could try. I was on hold quite a while so i took off one of the panels and saw that where the power cord attached to the circuit board was unplugged. So i reached in with a these very long forceps that i had and plugged it back in and it worked great.

Misses......

The exhaust fan is VERY loud, with only one setting. Perhaps the other similar models are loud too, i can not say.

The timer and clock use the same button for setting (just in a different order) so it's really easy to accidentally set the clock. Ours never says the right time because of this.

VERY HEAVY! You definitely should get some help installing this. You also must have an upper cabinet or soffit to install too. Maybe all the...

Nesco 4808-14 18-Quart Classic Roaster Oven with Porcelain Cookwell, White

Doubles as a second oven
I inherited my Grandmother's Westinghouse turkey roaster about 20 years ago. It was probably 50 years old when I got it. When it finally gave up the ghost I was disappointed to find that Westinghouse was no longer making that product. With some trepidation, I purchased this Nesco roaster and I have been pleasantly surprised with how well it's worked. It doesn't get used all that often (probably 10 times a year), but it is great when you need a second oven. I've roasted turkeys, hams, standing rib roasts and a goose in this roaster with wonderful results. I've also used it for large casseroles and to roast potatoes. The temperature control is accurate, it cleans up easily and is portable. I don't like to take up counter space, so I put this roaster on top of my washing machine (on top of a large towel) in the laundry room. For those who don't have a double oven, this is a great addition.

Broke after 2 months
I used the roaster no more than 10 times in 2 months and it broke. I had to return the old one and order new.

Nesco 4808-Roaster Oven
This was advertised as almost new. I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the box. It was a hair short of being brand new. Looked like it had never been used. Have used it twice and it is great not having to use my oven.

Carbon Steel Wok Set: Flat Bottom w/ helper handle. Wok is USA made

Great buy!
I am very pleased with this purchase. The wok is of excellent quality and was easy to season following the instructions from The Wok Shop. All of the tools are very useful, and my package included a bonus packet from The Wok Shop. I would definitely order again from this seller.

worth every penny
I got this as a Christmas present for myself and I'm just so pleased with the quality. You can tell that a lot of care was put into the choice of materials and design. Everything fits together just so and feels right as I move around the kitchen.

The wok itself is outstanding, same luster as my Matfer Bourgeat pans before seasoning. So far it's responding beautifully to cleaning and seasoning.

Edited to add:

It's working out exactly like the Matfer pans. Fantastic wok. The rest of the kit is up to scratch as well.

I also wanted to mention superfast shipping. My wok was sent out the day after I put the order in. It arrived two days later. Everything was carefully packed so nothing was dented or damaged.

They also included some freebies I'm very happy with -- long bamboo kitchen chopsticks, a bamboo wok paddle, a recipe book, and a collapsible back scratcher! Very sweet.

Dope Wok combo
I just got into cooking with Woks and this is a good set to buy. The quality is great and the extras are a bonus. Do not worry about the handles flying off like everyone said. I put gorilla glue inside the handle and I never had any issues whatsoever. Just be sure to wipe off the excess amount fast.

Wusthof 9-Inch Double Mezzaluna

Amazing tool
If you cook a lot, and large amounts, if you use onion and herbs with most cooking, then this tool is a must have for you. I have been looking for double bladed Mezzaluna just like the one I grew up with for years, and I did not hesitate to buy this one when I saw it on Amazon. The positive reviews and my Wusthof knives encouraged me to choose this particular one. It is perfect size. I enjoy using this Mezzaluna.

Good Knife
Well made, stays sharp - makes chopping spices like rosemary and thyme and most other fresh spices a snap. Kind of pricy but the quality is there...

its wusthof
cant go wrong! if its wusthof you know its good! i thought it would be a bit longer, but in any case, im happy! i love the handles and thw double blade really makes a difference!"

It is bigger and sturdier than the one we used for almost most 20 years. Expect this will last me many years and become a hand me down.
Great value for the money

Happy
My steamer just arrived today, I am so happy. I love it. It looks a little different than the picture, better. I love the glass lid and it's bigger than i was expecting. YEA! They shipped it out fast and even sent me a nice e mail with their phone #. I am so pleased. I use to have a metal steamer i bought in Hawaii in 1979. It lasted 20 years and i have been looking for a replacement for years. This one is much nicer than my old one. I love it, I love it, I love it.

F. Dick Knife Block Set - 9 Piece Forged Steel - German Made

The best you'll find regardless of price!
F. Dick is not so popular in the United States because of its name. But the fact is, F. Dick knifes are used extensively in Germany by professionals in the butcher milieu; this brand of knifes is highly respected. However, I have found German professionals tend to use Dick's less expensive stamped knifes. They work and hold up just as well but are less costly overall. This particular set is the more expensive and coveted Forged variety. They are extremely well made and they remain sharp for long periods of heavy use. This set has exactly what most will really use. There is no need to pay hundreds more for a massive set of knifes, most of which will receive little, if any, usage. In my professional opinion, you will find no better knives at any price. If you've got the money, go with the forged set here. If you need to save, go with the stamped set.

Best Knives In The World...
These are the best knives in the world... period. I have worked in the meat cutting/butchering industry for over 20-years, and these beat the other brands hands down. If you want the best of the best... get these knives.

12 inch Iron Pow Wok

Wok made from Japan
I seasoned this guy using the salt method, then seasoned with oil on a gas burner. I then used a few onions to get rid of the metallic taste. The first actual dish I made was garlic fried rice. Nothing stuck to the wok. No rice grains, not even the eggs. When I put in the eggs, it almost slid right off of the wok as I was moving things around. I had never seen that before on any pan that i have used. I might order one or two more woks just so I can cook different types of foods at the same time or to give them away as gifts. I don't know if the ones made in China are any different, but my experience with the one made in Japan (so far) has been wonderful.

no exhange and refund policy
They send me the wrong item and they do not think the first thing to do is to refund or exchange it for me. I have to try and try.

pros...this wok is made by the SS (Esuesu エスエス) brand and is a Japanese made wok. I know it sounds weird, but the Japanese keen knack for making quality things is exhibited in this wok. The wok is light-years ahead of any Chinese or Taiwanese made wok. The thickness of the wok's steel and the one piece construction of the wok and the handle are of superb quality. The welding of the extra stability piece to the handle is very well done. No sharp edges on the rim of the wok or the handle. No blemishes in the metal or the welded stability piece. The metal itself is quite thick and leads to a slightly heavier wok but is warp resistant. Which makes for a more stable wok, especially in the extreme temperature changes of a professional Chinese kitchen and wok cooking.

The wok still has to be seasoned, but the quality and thickness of the metal leads to less hot spots. Seasoning of this blue carbon steel does seem to be easier and the building...

20 inch Carbon Steel Wok w/ 2 Steel Handles ,round bottom only. Lid not included) - Made in USA

great!
I love the size! I have a big family so the size is perfect for my family. My fried rice and noodle came out great after using the wok. It required a little bit of work to care for before using it. The company that sold me this wok sent me the instruction how to care for it through email. I also download the instruction from the web, too. Overall, I love it a lot!

Wusthof 12-Inch Sharpening Steel

Not all steels are the same!
A lot of people assume that all sharpening steels are the same. That is not true.

I've owned this sharpening steel for about 6 years. It replaced a steel I had been using for about 20 years. I usually hone my knives between every use. With my previous steel, it typically took 4-10 swipes to restore a razor edge, with occasional resharpening using an alumina (corundum) stone; with this steel, I can get the same razor edge in 1-2 swipes, and never need to use the stone.

This is consistent with some hardness measurements I've seen on the web, which indicated that Wusthof sharpening steels were significantly harder than those from other major manufacturers, including their closest competitor, Henckels.

There is one downside to this steel: the steel itself only extends about half an inch into the plastic handle. If you just plop it into its slot in the knife block after each use, the steel will eventually fall out of the handle. It's not terribly...

My Knives Are Calling To Me to Cut Something!!
Wow - I read an article in Family Handyman about sharpening your own knives. They recommended starting out with the Wüsthof 2-Stage Knife Sharpener, then finishing with a sharpening steel.

So... We've had knives that I've tried to sharpen before but didn't know how. Was a pain in the butt. So we kept getting new knives. Now we have a drawer full of them.

I bought this steel and the 2-stage sharpener, pulled a dull knife out of the drawer, and about 5 minutes later the thing was SHARP! So I kept going, and now we have a drawer full of super sharp knives that are a PLEASURE to use.

The secret here is to use the carbide part of the 2-stage sharpener for really dull knives. Run it through enough times 'till it "catches" on your fingernail when you slide it down (perpendicular, not parallel...). Then go to the ceramic part and slide the knife 10 or so times. Both are set up so the knife is held at the correct angle.

Finally, pull out...

This steel changed my life.
Initially I didn't understand the steel - and what honing was. Even after I figured it out I didn't see the point until I ran into this incredible steel. Unlike the cheap little ones included with sets, this steel has a big enough diameter, long enough length, and incredible machining on the grooves to really effectively hone every time out. It also has an awesome molded handle and big chunky hanging ring (which you might need because a 12" steel will stick out of most blocks).

Why use a steel to hone? Stainless steel is ductile and the edge of a knife is a place where the steel is very very thin. In use the very edge will bend or fold over microscopically. Then, then next cut you make will be on what will be on the fold - rather than on the sharp edge. These micro folds can be straightened out by the use of a Steel - a process called "honing". Honing involves wiping the blade across a hard steel rod which has a large number of tiny parallel grooves cut in it. When the...

14 inches is really big
We love this steamer! We love steaming vegetables, but most steamers are so small. It works Great!!
It's just too large for us. It's too big for my stove - it takes very long to get hot because not enough of the Surface touches the element & it doesn't fit inside my sink.
(I would suggest making a Template to see which size is best for your situation.)

Great Experience
Thank you. I love it. Great size, quality, could't have asked for a better steamer.

Wusthof Gourmet meat tenderizer

Don't Settle (if you can avoid it)
Yes, this is the most expensive piece of stainless steel I have ever purchased. On a pound for pound basis, maybe not. This is three (3) pounds of meat flattening stainless steel. I say again three pounds! My heaviest non cast-iron skillet doesn't weigh as much.

I've added resistance exercises to my workout to target my forearms so that I can more accurately wield this efficient "tenderizer." Nothing fails to become the thickness desired. Actually I have to be careful not to pound my chicken cutlets into ground chicken.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the useable area is about the size of most chicken breasts. One needs only 2-3 strokes to pound out a cutlet to

Global Knives Minosharp Plus-grey/black

One of the best sharpeners I have used...
I like my kitchen knives razor sharp. I have traditional European style kitchen knives, both commercial food service quality stainless and Wustoffs and some Japanese style knives. This sharpener puts excellent edges on all of them that hold for a reasonable amount of time. I do still find that I like to dress my knives on a good steel immediately before use.

I have used flat whet stones, powered grinders (machine shop quality for making tool bits), the small wheel sharpener that you roll on the counter and the powered counter top units. I like this one the best.

the best sharpener
this is definitely the best knife sharpener i have ever used. no mess and efficient to use, it produces a great edge

For my man
I think for the price it was a great buy. Only problem, i really needed a bigger one and this was a little small. Still works good!

Bunmei 12 inch Tako Sashimi - Sushi Knife

I like it, but...
I like this knife, but I'm slightly disappointed. I wish it were slightly sharper (not to say it's _bad_, as it does cut raw chicken breast without tearing, but it didn't shave the hair on my arm). Also, I would like it to feel more substantial: the handle seems almost cheap, and I think I see a little glue holding the blade to the handle. For $100, I'd like it to seem seamless. Nevertheless, it's a nice knife and it does slice well enough, though not as well as I'd like it to. I might look at other sushi knives if I were serious about sushi preparations.

perfectly designed cooking knives
I bought this set about 2 years ago. I still really enjoy cooking with these knives because they are so well designed. They are very comfortable to hold because of the handle contour and because they are PERFECTLY balanced in your hand. The blades are sharpened with a razor sharp edge that is unlike typical knives. These must not be run through a low-end sharpener, like Chef's Choice or other. To retain the OEM edge, you should have them professionally sharpened or buy a stone. I use all 3 of the knives in this set, but probably use the 8" chef's knife 70% of the time, the serrated knife 20% of the time and the paring knive about 10%. These knives rock!

Global 8 in. Bread Knife, Serrated G-22

Cuts bread like butter
I received this knife as a wedding gift and use it quite frequently. My wife and I eat a lot of home-baked bread and find ourselves reaching for the Global every time. This knife makes cutting bread fun. I actually look forward to slicing bread with this knife. A maximum of 2 slices is all it takes to get through bread of any consistency. The Global is unbelievably sharp and, with the signature Global styling, is quite good-looking as well. Every kitchen needs a good bread knife and if you are looking for an knife that will turn the chore of slicing bread into a fun activity, look no further than this knife.

Wusthof Gourmet meat tenderizer

Best Meat Tenderizer on the planet
This tool is the ultimate tenderizer, it is very substantial. Easily will last a hundred or so years. It makes short work of flatening chicken, carne asada is more tender than you have ever imagined. In short this tool is perfect!

Best one ever
This is by far the best meat tenderizer I've ever used. Nice and hefty, and has a large surface area which takes a total of 2 smacks to make flattened chicken breasts for chicken kiev, or chicken Parmesan. Additional bonus the edges taper so that it can also be used to joint chicken etc. Being heavy takes the hard work out of pounding stuff.

Worth the price?
Oddly enough... yes, it's worth the price. This thing weighs in at 2.5 pounds. The best of the competition (the Norpro Meat Pounder at $20) weighs about 1 pound less. This wonderfully designed pounder by Wusthof makes easy work of flattening veal, beef, chicken, pork, or anything else you could possibly want to pound out. This is not only the ultimate meat pounder; it will easily last for generations.

Global 5 Piece Starter Knife Block Set - MetroKitchen Exclusive

Perfect starter knife set
Love these knives! Very light, but wicked sharp. The block it comes in looks cool and has plenty of slots for future additions, although the four pieces pretty much covers your everyday needs. One only thing, I thought the slicer was serrated but it's not. It still cuts breads/cakes with ease.

value pack
If you're reading this, you've probably already made up your mind about investing into this brand of knives and likely have started to compare prices. Here are the four knives I got from this set. G2-20cm cook, GS3-13cm cook, GS38-9cm paring and G8-22cm roast slicer. The first three knives can be purchased together (G2338) for about $223 and the slicer for about $106. I've used all the knives and may perhaps get the GS5 and G46, since there is plenty of room in the block for future additions, but for now, what I have is more than enough.

Fantastic Global Knife Block Set!
The Global knives are the quality we've come to expect and the delivery was quick. This was an ideal transaction.

Global 4 Piece Crab & Lobster Fork Set

The BEST Lobster/Crab picks
Since most restaurants have chintzy tools, when eating out in NYC I'd bring my own Zyliss cracker and a Global seafood pick -- the best ones out there. However, if you don't want to drop the $$$ for the Global, then Zyliss makes a decent set of picks. When looking at picks, the most important part is the "claw". Too many brands are virtually flat & useless
You'll find that picks are only minimally useful on lobster, but they're essential for King/Snow Crab, and even Maryland crab.

The Zyliss cracker is lightweight, easy to use with buttery hands, and with it's red color, it's easy to find at an outdoor picnic. Be careful of most crackers as many are either useless or difficult to use. One that particularly comes to mind is a stupid design in the shape of a lobster claw. Sure, it's really cute...until you actually try to use them, which when you find out they cut into your hands at the slightest pressure. Read my review under Zyliss.

Global 7 inch Deba Knife - Left Handed

Sharp knife with a delicate blade edge
This knife is of high quality and very sharp. Unfortunately the blade is also delicate and is easily damaged. I think the blade is thinner than European knives because it is only sharpened on one side, and after a couple years of use my blade edge was full of large nicks and dings. After having the edge repaired I now only use it for delicate foods like fruit and sushi. I have found my Henkels chefs knife has held up much better during daily use and is much easier to maintain.

Innovative Beverage 3 Pound Bag Of Green Tea Matcha Bubble Tea Latte (03-0587) Category: Tea

Good, but package is a little misleading
I'm a fan of matcha green tea and bubble tea, so I gave this a try. It's pretty good, but I have a couple of small complaints. The package shows the tapioca pearls, but the product itself does not contain these. There's no disclaimer, like "serving suggestion." So you'll have to get your pearls somewhere else. Also, the package is quite big for home use, though I'm sure my family and I will use it up eventually. In the meantime, I'll save a fortune by not going to the bubble tea shop.

Lastly, in an ideal world I'd make the mix slightly less sweet, but it's probably not that different from what the shops sell.

Green Star GS-1000 Juice Extractor

The best juicer for green leafy veggies IF you don't mind assembly, disassembly & clean up.
I've been juicing since the early 1990s and more recently, as a certified raw foods associate chef, have been preparing a wider range of juicer recipes including pates and ice cream from frozen bananas. I have experience with Green Star, Champion, Juiceman, and several other juicers, and have read quite a bit about various models of juicers. If you are going to be juicing a lot of greens such as kale and parsley, the Green Star will give you a better and more nutritious yield than any juicer on the market. It far exceeds masticating juicers such as the Champion in this regard, as well as centrifugal juicers such as the Juiceman. A huge benefit of Green Star is that it juices wheat grass, so you will not need a dedicated wheat grass juicer. It's also amazingly quiet, far quieter (and a bit slower) than my Champion. And like the Champion, it does a great job with pates, frozen ice cream, and other recipes requiring a homogenizing blade, also known as a "blank." With a slower...

excellent for my needs
I've been juicing for 20 years. My description of the Green Star 1000 is based on my experience with an old Champion, a new Champion, and an old Wheateena grass juicer. The Green Star spits pulp out the end so you can juice continuously just like the other juicers. The pulp discharged is always quite dry and completely shredded and it extracts a maximum amount of very high quality juice from everything it juices well. Exceptions are described below. It leaks a little juice into the pulp at the very start of juicing, like any juicer, which you can feed back through, of course. It has a nice glass pitcher. It didn't leak any juice onto the counter or spray carrot fiber out the discharge all over the counter like my Champion. It runs very quiet, unlike the Champion, and doesn't require any messy greasing before use like the other juicers. It has a convenient handle and storage compartment for the electrical cord. It never bogged down under load like my Champion does when...

Delivers Potent, Vitamin-Rich Juice
This is a great juicer--simple to use and easy to clean. When I make myself green drinks (e.g., kale, ginger, an apple, and 1/2 lemon), they give me such a "buzz" of energy and feeling of well-being that I'm tempted to consume junk food to bring me back to earth.

TIPS:
(1) There's a trick to using twin-gear juicers like this one without having to use so much muscle. Instead of stuffing in a lot of greens and trying to force them through, let the gears "suck" the greens in one at a time (Yes, it does take time to do this, but there's no muscle required because the gears pull the greens in and grind them up).
(2) Make sure to remove the heavy stems from kale, turnip greens, and beet greens to reduce bitterness;
(3) Vary the greens you juice; according to one author and expert on juicing, greens contain tiny amounts of toxins to keep animals from overgrazing a single plant until they kill it off. To avoid a build-up of these toxins, animals consume a broad and...

Green Star GS-3000 Deluxe Twin Gear Juice Extractor

To Better Health!
This juicer definitely produced the best juice. Put cool veggies and fruit in from the frig and get cool juice out, and the quality is outstanding. We have been juicing now for a month and we feel so much better. Because of the energy I get from the juice in the mornings, I was actually able to quick drinking coffee! While one of the other reviewers was correct in that this juicer does take up some counter space, the parts are definitely not made cheaply - at least on our model (the Green Star 3000). After all the junk that is being made these days, this machine is made of quality parts, and is actually a little bit heavy (but it has a nice handle).

We love our machine. We love having the best possible product coming out of our machine. The only drawback, and it is a slight one, it that the machine does take a few minutes to clean, and should be cleaned immediately after use. The parts are good quality, strong and durable, but not for use in a dishwasher (according to the...

Comparing juicers --Hard working juicer but has some problems
I had my GreenStar for four years. I juiced from 8-13 juices a day and it kept running. It was much cheaper than the Norwalk juicer and probably a lot easier to clean with less steps involved in juicing, although the pulp was not as dry as it could be. I decided to try the Super Angel mainly because it was impossible to clean the Green Star. The plastic pieces are stained and it looks pretty awful (but remember 4 years of daily juicing!) since the Super Angel 3500 is made entirely of stainless steel. The Green Star is around $450 and the Super Angel is $800 so you are paying more. But here are the differences: SA much easier to put together- 3 parts vs GS at 7. SA much quieter. SA much easier to clean and sterilize (you can put stainless steel in dishwasher but not the GS with its plastic). Finally, the pulp is drier with the SA meaning you are extracting more vitamins and minerals and buying less produce. I haven't had the SA long so I don't know if it has the staying power of the GS...

Great Juicer, Great Price!
I'm a big fan of the Green Star 3000. It was easy to set up and use straight out of the box! The best thing about this juicer is the juice that comes out of it. It's never heated up and always tastes fresh. I used to have another juicer that I barely used because the juice coming out of it was always warm and tasted bad. With the Green Star, my juice is always the same temperature as my produce, so I know I'm getting all of the goodness my produce has to offer.

I absolutely adore my teapot. My kids know they're not allowed to touch it and even tattle tale on their dad if he even gets close to it. It's one of my prized possessions in the kitchen. I love tea and my kids were starting to want tea as well so I had to get something for all of us and this one holds enough to serve 8!. It's also sturdy stoneware, not flimsy. And of course - gorgeous.

Love our new teapot!
My husband and I have been looking for a large, reasonably priced, easy to clean teapot for over a year with no luck. We were delighted to find this lovely teapot from Pfaltzgraff. It holds over 64 oz. of tea and the spout does not drip. It has a wide opening at the top which makes it easy to get your hand inside if you need to, and a wide opening at the base of the spout to make that area easy to clean as well. The colors are lovely and coordinate with a wide variety of patterns. We couldn't be more pleased!

J.K. Adams 39-Inch-by-13-Inch Hardwood Ceiling Pot Rack, 8-Pot Hooks and 4-Utensil Hooks Included, Natural

Nice Rack, Installation might be a small challenge in some kitchens
I initially purchased the smaller sibling of this rack J.K. Adams PRC-24 Mini Ceiling Oval Pot Rack, Natural but found it a bit too small for my needs. The larger model turned out to be more suited to the quantity of cookware I had accumulated over the years.

The mounting points for this rack are on 11-1/4" by 32" centers. For those of you who will be mounting the rack across your joists, this should make installation fairly straightforward, easy, and quick, assuming your joists are on standard 16" centers. If, like me, you are mounting the rack running with your joists, things get more challenging. And, when you are also mounting the rack over a counter whose relationship with the joists can only be described as "unfortunate", it gets slightly more complicated.

I solved my problem with two 34" long 3.5" wide oak planks, fastened into three joists, using 3" #12 brass wood screws,...

Very functional and high quality
This is a great pot rack that I will take with me if I ever move. The combo of metal and wood is done well an adds to the functionality. The wood rails allow for the hooks to slide to the desired spot with no weight on them. This allows for adjustment every time you hang a pot or pan if you wish to keep them from hitting each other. The rack hangs by 8 inch hooks and you can add additional 8 or 4 inch to achieve your desired height. The look is cleaner than a chain. The rack is made to come apart if you wish to refinish or paint the wood to another color. I like the natural lighter wood it came with myself. You won't be disappointed with this rack.

Nice, but really small
One of the downsides of purchasing things on-line is that it is easy to make a mis-judgement about something you have never seen or handled. Because we have a small, "galley style" kitchen (which I hate!) I asssumed that this would be the right model for our home. However, it was much smaller than I realized, and I am returning it in favor of the larger version of the same rack. (It was so much smaller than I realized, that I never even bothered to open the packaging - it was possible to tell from the sealed box that I had made an error. I am sure that this is a nice rack, as I have received and opened the larger model and am pleased with it. But you may have more room than you think, so consider the possibility that the larger model may fit.

Tribest Personal Blender, Compact Package (PB-100)

Don't ignore the fine print
This blender looks pretty nice, it is small, and it requires less cleaning than traditional blenders. It is also higher quality than other one cup blenders. That aside... the instructions say that you cannot put the cups into the dishwasher so you must wash by hand. The cups also have measurement marks on the side, but they are very hard to read. One cup was washed by mistake and the plastic became fuzzy.

The blender will chop full sized iced cubes, but not well, it leaves big chunks. If you crush the ice first with your fridge dispenser or with another machine, then this blender does a much better job. Tribest does sell an ice crusher attachment but not with the package I bought.

With thicker shakes content can get stuck up at the bottom of the cup. Do not shake the blender to move the stuck content down towards the blades while the machine is running, this will make the motor smell like burning rubber. Take the cup off, shake it, then put it back on the...

Don't believe anything bad about this product!
This is the best, most beloved item in my kitchen!!!

I only wish I had bought the grinder and all the different cups (which I am going to now add on).

I read some of the other reviews---and at first I was also disappointed with this blender. Now that I have learned how to use it, I LOVE IT!!!

DO NOT put Protein powder into it first, it will get stuck in the bottom of the cup which you invert onto the blades (When you invert it, the bottom becomes the top). If you put liquid in first and then the powder there's no problem. You have to learn how to use it. You will want to put the frozen fruit in last if you are making something really thick.

I read the reviews here before I bought mine and a woman said hers was junk but I went ahead and read the rest of the reviews and decided to buy it. If mine breaks in a year, it will have been well worth the price. I use it every day and sometimes three times a day. On a hot day when I want...

Just Not Durable
All of the 5-Star reviews are spot on regarding the convenience and effectiveness of the Tribest Blender. It is a great product except for the fact that it simply isn't nearly durable enough to warrant the investment. When my first unit broke in less than 3 months I was happy to assume that either I or one of my kids had done something wrong and immediately ordered another. Now that that unit has also broken in less than three months I'm convinced its just a poorly constructed product. In both instances the plastic disk on the bass unit that spins the blender simply broke. I remember enough of my high school physics to understand torque but these units were never challenged to do more than blend a half cup of frozen berries with juice and protein powder. And probably not more than a half dozen times a week.

I've become a huge fan of the single serve blender and replaced the last one with the competitive blender with hopes that I will get more than 3 months life out of...

Pfaltzgraff Delicious Green Apple Jar with Lid

Very cute!
This is very cute, but smaller than I expected. The dimensions were not listed, so I knew it was a gamble. I bought it as a cookie jar, but it's medium sized, more of a snack jar I'd say. 8.9" x 7.9" x 7.9" You have to spin the lid a bid when putting it back on. Lining it up right is sort of like putting the top back on a pumpkin that you didn't cut a notch in. It's also glossier and a lighter green color (more true "apple") than shown in the picture. I wanted to give it a 4.5 out of five stars.

Cuisinart DTC-975BKN Thermal 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Black

Slightly Fussy Lid, but the BEST Coffee-Maker I've Ever Used
Fussy Lid, but the Best Coffee Maker Ever!, April 23, 2005

Reviewer: R. Wilner (Metro Detroit) - See all my reviews

I wish Amazon had 1/2 stars, because I would have given 4 1/2. I almost gave it a 5 star rating, but the lid may bug some people. I will admit that the lid MUST be placed in a perfect position, but how to do it is no mystery. Clearly etched in the top of the lid are the words "Open" "Close" and "Pour." If you put the lid on so that the word "Pour" is directly over the spout, it's no problem. When you go to screw on the lid, just make sure that the word "Pour" starts out over the spout and when it's closed, it will end up there. No big deal. My guess is, the people who have given negative reviews about the lid were impatient with it.

My reason for buying this coffee-maker was the 12-OUNCE thermal carafe. This was one of the only coffee-makers I saw with a 12oz carafe as opposed to an 8 or 10 ounce. This was a huge selling point for me. As...

Defective, but easily fixed
My beloved 25 year-old Rowenta finally died, so I started looking for a new pot with a vacuum carafe and a cone filter. That narrowed the prospects quite a bit, and I bought the Cuisinart because it was easily available and (relatively) inexpensive compared to others with the same features. I read the numerous poor reviews but figured it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to make it work, so I pressed on.

Sure enough, the pot was defective in a couple of ways.

1. The instruction booklet says to _fill_ the carafe and pour it into the reservoir. The carafe holds twelve cups and the reservoir holds the same before the small hole in back below the hinge dumps any excess on your counter, so in theory it's impossible to over fill. So far, so good - but the guy at Cuisinart who designed this pot apparently skipped his junior high science class the day they described how water expands when it is heated.

Twelve cups of cold tap water expands to about twelve and a...

Very good coffee maker, but be careful
I have had this coffee maker for about 3 weeks now. I read all these reviews before I purchased, and almost didn't because of some of them, so I thought I'd let you know how it worked out for me since you are probably having the same concerns.

The short version: I am very pleased with this coffee maker and am happy I purchased it. There are a couple of minor concerns, but with a bit of knowledge you can safely purchase this coffee maker.

Pros:
- Very solid construction and carafe. Good overall look and feel.
- The carafe keeps coffee hot all day. A huge plus. I only get carafe style (no warmer) coffee makers, and this is one of the best I've used.
- Simple and easy programmable auto-brew functionality.
- The fill container has a very easy to read measuring line, making filling it to a desired level very easy and convenient. A bonus I didn't know I was missing until I got this machine.

Cons:
- Pretty slow brewing. Takes 15-20...

Swivel Utensils Swivel Spoon

OT couldn't get it for me so I got it!
My student was curious when I pulled out the spoon that keeps his food from falling off. But now he has mastered it and the fork. Now on to the straw!!

GSI Outdoors Vortex Hand Blender

This blender is cool.
I bought this blender to take on the road with me and ended up using it mostly at home. It blends up my fruits and veges when I feel like making raw vegan soups or sauces. I love that I don't have to plug it in and find it easy to clean and use. There are 2 different crank options, one for heavy duty blending and one for mild. Obviously you provide the muscle but not much is needed. You will need to keep it steady (it does come with a mediocre clamp) and it takes a little getting used to but I'm quite happy with this unit.

Convenient, sturdy, compact
Each summer we spend several weeks in the mountains, away from electricity. The Vortex makes delicious morning fruit smoothies possible. Not only possible, quick and easy.

GOOD
It works as advertised. It's sturdy. The bottom stores in the top, so it's compact. Cleanup is quick. Never runs out of batteries.

LESS THAN GOOD
It must be clamped to something strong and stable--which rules out anything in our camper. So it's out into the cold each AM to clamp the Vortex to a camp table and grind away.

Does not blend as thoroughly as the Coleman battery powered blender (but doesn't run battery dead in 2 days either).

Not strong enough to break up ice cubes.

BAD
Nothing.

Love it!
We love our Vortex Blender. It is great for the beach, picnics, backyard parties etc.. It works great. Just make sure you put the liquid in before the ice and it works perfect!

Rösle 12654 Long Bar Spoon

Excellent tool for the craft
Beautifully balanced, sleek spoon. I've owned/used many styles from around the world and this is my favorite. <a close race with my spoon from Barcelona> Excellent for stirring any cocktail. Perfect for flawless, frictionless, Japanese stirring technique without having to bend the spoon. The only complaint/caveat is that the actual head of the spoon is a bit small and not as heavy as similar high end spoons. So "cracking" Kold Draft ice cubes is not easily done, also using it as a generic
